It's currently purging almost 50K of tweets I've sent over the years.
I'll not just be deleting my account, but denying them my content as much as possible.

'delete' just sets a bit marking it to not render the tweet, they still have the data.
edit: most data companies that deal with large troves of data do this to reduce I/O and increase performance.
It's why google keeps your gmail for like a year or two even if you delete it.
I'm no lawyer, but my hope is my content being deleted means they can't do what they'd normally do with it.
Also, fuck them, it'd rather burn IOs on their storage.
