I'm using LineageOS for a google free smartphone. You can install it on any supported devices listed on their homepage -- some people may actually have an old smartphone around that would work. I see in their store, an ad free youtube app, a Holy Bible app, and an app to study and learn about Ham Radio. So far everything is just working very nice, but you might have to be a bit of a techie to set it up.
For a computer, they're a bit pricey, and I have yet to personally use one, but a company called System76 makes good linux laptops I hear. If you can't get one of their laptops due to price, you can still install their linux based OS, PopOS. It is nice to have your operating system not be Microsoft or Apple, both of which spy on you.
maybe other people can suggest other alternatives, but that's all I have for now.
You've missed one of the biggest threats: Google. Get on Proton Mail, its a great encrypted email service. Chrome is a hard one to get rid of, I'm still using it, I havent found an alt yet. Mozilla is objectively anti-Trump, and MS Edge is still based on Chromium, so Im stuck there. Epoch is a great paper that I get up here in Toronto, usually pretty good.
Gab is entirely run on bare metal. TD.W runs on cloudflare. Just an fyi.
A different kind phone option is intriguing. Just got a “new” iphone11 about 3 months ago. My wife’s gone is an old iPhone 8 and she needs to upgrade. We are looking at Samsung since their manufacturing is all in Vietnam now. It’s going t be an adjustment because we’ve been Apple for years. We were going to get new MacBooks but will be switching to Samsung (no Chinese slave labor). If a Gab phone come out in the next couple of year’s it’ll get a hard look.
