And that would be extremely short sighted and stupid. Would mean it would be open season (for weaponized law) on democrats in red states as well.

Dems have been practicing lawfare for years. Republicans have not done, and will continue to not do, shit about it.

That is sadly also true in my country as well.

What is now the democratic party in Italy was born from a fusion of the old Communist and Democratic Christian parties.

Both corrupt as fuck, they financed themselves illegally via funds from the US (DC) or USSR (PCI) and then set up the leader of the Socialist Party Bettino Craxi (Socialist in name only, leader took it over from the inside and changed everything) to be removed from power and imprisoned for corruption for having accepted funds from Italian business owners.

Was it technically Illegal? Yes, because at the time parties could only self fund through publishing and selling newspapers or receiving state funds.

Was it actually dangerous for our nation? No. Everyone else was doing stuff way worse than he did. Both parties were just upset at not being in power and wanted revenge on the PSI and Craxi, and had the support of a sizable part of the judiciary.

Craxi ran to Morocco and was accepted as refugee there as victim of political persecution.

Dems in America have not shied from attempting similar moves in the past, I just hope that those moves will backfire.

Unfortunately no... most dirty liberals (the kind that we would like to “get” to) don’t live in red states. Plus some of the filthy rich ones like soros, Dorsey , cuckerberg etc have time and again shown their disdain for the constitution and have shown they are too powerful by even lying to the senate, with no consequences
