That's the only reason I clicked into this post. Of all the people I have encountered in over thirty-five years of working, Library Science people are hands-down the most unabashedly marxist. People in other "disciplines" may be marxist assholes, but most of them have no idea why they believe what they believe. The librarians know how fucked up marxism is and yet still cling to it.

I was born to be a librarian, and am total free thought/inquiry. All the workers in the Temple of Ideas I worked in were women, hoping for Bernie to free them from the debt 'muh degree' saddled them with. They don't realize any chan user could replace them without a hitch, as far as the mechanics of library goes. I've been ILLing stuff...so far, every thing I request they end up buying. I'm just waiting to request John Ross' 'Unintended Consequences', even though I own it. heh heh heh

No offense to you, personally, and I apologize for painting with so broad a brush. My experience with Library Science types goes back to the 1980s and has held true even with those who work in other fields.

Somebody told me years ago that it all goes back to the depraved influence of Melvil Dewey, the prototypical "male feminist" (with all that the scare quotes entail).

No offense, it is what it is. I was a cool librarian, treated the 'patrons' like valued customers. Loathed working with the union mentality types and the 'muh degree' sort.
