People need to learn how to install apps without going through the store. Most all apps are available elsewhere. The Apple or Google stores are just for convenience.
yeah there's always the desktop app that I'm using, that's not likely to go away anytime soon. but most people won't know how to get on it on their phone once it's removed too so it's a good idea to get people to join up now.

Yeah it is good, very good. Just don't expect anything to be really really private. Anything can be infiltrated
