Here’s my dilemma; I have a ton of books on my Kindle account. I didn’t know, until that court case a few months ago, that Amazon still technically a owns all that stuff and locks you out of digital purchases if you cancel your account. And yes, I’ve been building my collection back in hard copy, but there are some authors and books that are only available in digital form.
Not sure what to do about that. It feels like lighting a pile of money on fire. I’ll do it if I need to, but would like to find some kind of work around.
I used an application called Calibre to convert all of mine. I've lost my highlights and what not but I really shouldn't have been locking myself into their ecosystem in the first place.
