Here’s my dilemma; I have a ton of books on my Kindle account. I didn’t know, until that court case a few months ago, that Amazon still technically a owns all that stuff and locks you out of digital purchases if you cancel your account. And yes, I’ve been building my collection back in hard copy, but there are some authors and books that are only available in digital form.
Not sure what to do about that. It feels like lighting a pile of money on fire. I’ll do it if I need to, but would like to find some kind of work around.

Don't cancel. Just take your card information off and don't use them again. That's what I did a couple years ago. If you have prime, cancel that.
