Dan has been dishonest about his ownership/investment role though. He has made it out to be that he is the owner and founder of Parler and that clearly helped draw people to the site. He's an investor/spokesman.
I don't recall him ever saying he was a founder, but we also don't know what terms they have. His investment and early promotion of Parler could be considered a founder level investment, regardless of him not being onboard at launch, which he wasn't and is clear if you followed him or listen to the podcast. He talked about Parler and promoted it before he was a part-owner, a synonym for investor. Plenty of people would have never heard of it without Bongino, so maybe they consider him a "founder" in some way, though again I've never heard him attest that.
It's not clear how much of Parler Bongino owns/invested in. It's not really fair to assume he is responsible for what has happened to Parler.
Parler isn't dead anyway, just between hosts.
When you invest in snake oil and don't know anything about oil, you're gonna have a bad time.
The shilling for parler and rumble was so obvious. Controlled opposition.
Gab and Bitchute ftw.
I don't get Rumble. Maybe I haven't spent enough time there but navigating it sucks. Can't I just get a simple search bar and maybe genre filter?
Ya i have a hard time using rumble. I only use it for Bongino... but soon not.....
I use Bitslide because it really makes Bitchute easier to use. I plan to try Odysee, too.
I tried Rumble just for using it via roku but it sucked. Laggy and no way to search.
This is pretty much dead on.
Not sure what Bongino is dealing with today but I’m sure he will survive this.
I do feel like GAB is a better alternative regardless.
Parler would never recover anyway. Gab is now the place to be, they have vastly superior software and even run their very own server farm.
We can only hope for the Parler guys that they win their lawsuit against Amazon.

I always understood his role as an investor.

He's said numerous times that he owns Parler making it seem as if he created it. Rebekeh Mercer is the large amount angel investor.
