The gas tax was put up as a proposition because if you ever been to California, the roads are worse then 3rd world nations, CA tax payers voted to raise gas tax so that the roads can be fixed.... jokes on them, our roads are still cobblestone carraigeways, the money goes to friends and family with green energy businesses like Pelosi's brother who got granted money for a solar farm (basically Solyndra)
This is so infuriating. For awhile on nearly every single year I voted there’d be a proposition to force the funds be spent on road/bridge maintenance. It would always pass but every time CA legislation found a way around and appropriated the funds for something else.
Don't worry: None of that money will find its way into the pockets of Newsom and his allies.
