I have a friend who worked on the Hill for a long time. He went through multiple security incidents - anthrax, active shooter, a few others. In all those events, the Capitol went into full lockdown with a massive show of force, checkpoints, barring of the 2 ton doors, vehicles etc. What he saw at last Wed rally first person, was 1/10th of the police presence seen with those prior events.
