For any zoomers reading; millenials have got a fucking crazy perspective on things.
Because of the time period we came up in. We got to experience what an strong people and honorable society was. We saw it change to -this- clown world. As bad as it seems to you, imagine being us and seeing it all happen and comprehending it all. We were the bridge from how it used to be to "the tech era". Many older people saw it too but are lucky enough to be blind to entire movements and bullshit in current year going on because they just don't get it but we fully understand.
People were like this back then.
Strangers would break up a fight if they saw a young skinny white kid getting jumped or picked on on the bus in the city. Strangers would jump in throwing punches, pulling knives and guns on the dirtbags. Everyone hated them and recognized they were scumbags.
My buddies from back in the day have never and would never turn on each other. Cops came nobody was confessing to get out of the charge. If a chick tried to cheat on her boyfriend in the friend group, the guy wouldn't do it. If he did he was gone forever from your circle, maybe with an asswhipping. Chick too. There are decades old sworn secrets that my boys and I've never revealed and never will. If you couldn't hold your own, have other peoples backs -no one wanted to know you.
2020?!? They would never want the peasant citizens to get the idea that they could fight back against and enemy. Defend themselves and each other could put them out of business!!
I experienced a bit of that time. But also the latter and is the reason I don't have friends anymore lol. I'm not very trusting in others based on my experience and seeing how quickly people are willing to screw each other over.
