Hijacking a higher comment just to say here's a digital version of a 1st pressing of 1984 for anyone that wants (if you go back to the main site — "libgen.is" — you can search and grab any version you want as well. If you have a kindle, you can also send it, either as a .pdf, or convert it to a .mobi using "Calibre" app): http://library.lol/main/F13C4CF3AA30C0EF5F8089D109AE1C64
Yup - it'll take PDFs (and there's a way to email them directly to your Kindle/Kindle acct. I forget how, exactly, but you can find it online very easily — you essentially have an email address associated w. your kindle, and you can just email the document, as an attachment, to it). PDFs are often somewhat messier/don't work as well, especially with all the features, but if you use Calibre (free app/software), you can convert basically any format to .Mobi (Kindle's format), or ePub (which I think iBooks and maybe other ereaders use?), and then email if to your Kindle.
Using this, along with either archive (.org or .is) for public domain works, or LibGen (for just about anything else. Especially saved me buttloads on textbooks back in the day lol), you can get basically anything you want. Libgen can be a bit weird to use, but you basically just search for what you want, click on one of the mirrors (usually labelled on the right "1-6" or so), and then at the top, you should see "Get" — clicking that will start the download (sometimes takes a bit, other times you might need a different mirror. I may have made this sound difficult but it's very easy)
right on. I remember listening to the audiobook cassette while on a road trip with the family back in the day. I was shocked at how much more violent (and awesome) the book was than the film!
high five i read it after watching Jurassic park in a cinema as a child good days. now im about to enter more exiting days of overthrowing a tyrannical government.
EPIC gamestore gave away free the Jurassic World management game this past week. I played it for about 12 hours total. Not bad but great enough for a free title.
I saw the films in the theater but haven't read the book. Thanks for the tip!
my fave book is Jurassic park so much better then the film well worth a read
It's a very good book. Pretty good movie. I enjoyed the extra espionage angles in the book.
