The best thing anyone can do is cancel the account and cancel all services that use AWS like netflix and others. Also write Netflix and tell them you are canceling because they use AWS and why. I did this when the new macbook air came out bought the old intel only to return after buying the m1. I wanted to turn a new computer into one they had to sell as used.
I returned like $80 worth of shit 3 months ago, got the confirmatio, cancelled my membership between then and now and they told me I never returned it and kept my money

They'll cancel your account for you if you do this under "abuse" of their return policy. I know it happened to me last year.
