The national guard is under the complete control of the president. The governor can deploy them.
But the President at anytime can take control over those units. Governors act like a commander. But the President is the commander and chief.
That being said, If Trump didn't want the national guard they wouldn't be. There is ~15,000 soldiers in DC ( not fucking normal ) the only reason why they would be there is if Trump wants them there. Trump wouldn't designate an emergency in DC if it wasn't in his favor.
Anyone who claims to be close to the president who hasn't back stabbed him says he will be president for the next four years. Anyone who claims that has been silenced to include the Q people.
One thing I know is Trump seems to always have a Plan. I have faith he does and I'll follow that plan.

If I were a betting man I would argue that Trump's likely plan is to become a media powerhouse in conflict with the main stream media. This would give him or his sons or someone he favors a platform to run in 2024.
The problem is that nothing has been or will be done about election fraud. But we can attack that at the state level. Protests, running for SOS etc in an attempt to block fraudulent election tactics.

This. If we don't stop the election fraud this time, then we will never have fair elections in this country again. Not all the states can be controlled that way. You have to be using voter machines, or have primarily mail in ballots.
Alaska and Texas still have districts that do hand counting of paper ballots.
Until we go back to hand-counting of paper ballots with both parties monitoring the voting and counting, require photo ids, and stop mail-in ballots, we will never have a fair election in this country again.
I watched a town hall by a Dem county house delegation for the state legislature the other day. "Voter suppression" is their mantra any time election integrity issues are brought up. Be ready for that.

Well I'm not Trump but if I had no other choice I'd say fuck it and not cooperate with any prep for the inog. Do the absolute minimum legally required to transition, give everyone the middle finger and ride off into the sunset. Nothing he does now will help his image in the media.
You're not Trump, and that's not something Trump would do. Trump is easily the best president we've had in the last 50 years. He knows that, if we let them steal this election, then the country is finished, and we'll never have fair elections again, ever. Also, he can't "ride off into the sunset", he's easily one of the most recognizable people on earth, and he would always be looking over his shoulder. You've missed this one, by a wide margin. Trump is going to be our president for 4 more years while he drains the swamp.
