I think authors should be compensated for their work and many only release their books on Amazon. That being said, I'm not buying anything through Amazon moving forward. I have no ethical objection to torrenting books you already own.
I think they should put their work up in places that allows me to pay them for their work without supporting the neo-fascist technocracy. Maybe they can fix that soon
