One of the biggest lies out there is the character of service members. There are ALOT that are in it for free college, or pressure to find a job, or for an easy pension (because let's face it, if you arent in combat arms role your work is like the DMV).

That being said, military does swear an oath. And military does have the discretion to disobey unlawful orders. It's up to the individual to exercise that courage if the time comes

this a very good point. they literally have street gang problems within the branches. GDs were involved with a muder in Germany many years ago by active duty soldiers.

not to mention that latest review of what an absolute shitshow of a culture theyve got at ft.hood.

and CP networks running through dod servers at the pentagon...

I still tend to believe that a significant percentage of enlisted would do the right thing if ordered to start rounding people up or some shit . 🙏
