Here are my thoughts: What the Dems think the order means - President Trump is concerned that his supporters will riot in DC for Biden’s inauguration and he wants a “peaceful transfer of power”. This emergency order allows for troops to maintain order in the city and for the inauguration to occur without Trump supporters uprising.
What it really means - It is a smoke screen. President Trump has never once conceded the election and has made no mention of transition to a Biden administration.
President Trump intends to declare the certification of the blatantly fraudulent election an act of insurrection against a lawfully elected President and that the number of disputed votes in the 5 contested states is more than enough for him to have won the required electoral votes to win the election. He will be inaugurated sometime after the 20th. This is why he said he won’t be at the inauguration on the 20th and why the emergency order is in place until the 24th. If this happens, Antifa and BLM have shown over the past years that they are the ones willing to burn a city to the ground when they don’t get their way. This is why this emergency order needs to be in place to protect him and the city from the riots that will try to form after his inauguration.

He talks about a peaceful transition to the next administration, but never mentions Biden by name. And several of his supporters have said the exact words - a peaceful transition to the next Trump administration. He’s not actually calling up troops to protect anyone from his supporters. We are many and we are loud, but we are never violent. Evidence is increasing that the violence at the Capital last week was instigated by Antifa infiltrators, not actual Trump supporters.
