Corporations only use money as a signal. Marketing departments are allowed to virtue signal to raise brand awareness (even bad publicity is good publicity). The company does not see the divisive and corrosive effect the virtue signalling does to society. If a virtue signalling company saw a drop in sales, then they might notice a correlation and stop. One month of reduced sales should be enough for them to notice and estimate the size of the population that disagrees.

I do not know if we could ever coordinate that.
