Certifying an election that everyone (in Congress) knows is fraudulent is never the right thing. The clock does not run out on fraud.

Not true, entirely.

Some state legislatures were unable to convene themselves without a governor's order, or a substantial majority of the members.

That was the case here in Georgia.

Needing a governor's permission to convene was an excuse. The legislatures can convene any time they want.

Edit: "...or a substantial majority of the members." <<< You proved my point.

It varies by state. Here they can do that only if a supermajority agree. State constitution.

Did a lot of them cuck out? Yeah.

Uncommon Knowledge discussed this in their last broadcast of 2020 (about a month ago)

The panelists more or less blamed the RNC for Trump's loss. Kimberly Strassel in particular talked about how the state legislatures had time to defend their rights wrt to voting procedures and they failed to do so.

Interesting watch if you have the time.

Trump WON. He didn't lose. Even with the changes, he WON. It was the vote tally manipulations and illegal ballot counting that caused a loss.

Could the R legislatures done a better job? Hell yes. Was the RNC complicit in not pressing the issue? Absolutely. It's the Uniparty. The R and D are illusions for a gravy train of unfathomable proportions in DC.

Yeah, that’s why five of them asked Congress to reject the Biden electors so they could audit and re-certify for Trump.
