GoDaddy has been doing this for over a decade. I always talk people out of using them. If your site is successful, they will claim it as their own.

They can not do this. GoDaddy fucked up.

Owner of that site needs to go to VeriSign and ICANN, and file a complaint. Breach of the registry contract, GoDaddy has to give them a way to transfer the domain out if it cancels services.

As far as I can tell, Parler is seeking a cancel-proof web host and EPIK is known to be friendly to Right leaning sites. Not sure there's any more to their relationship.

I am going to avoid Parler myself, in favor of Gab. I'm very glad I wasn't a member of Parler now that it turns out users' info was hacked and now doxxing might start. Parler had everyone's hopes up but they might end up being the Betamax to Gab's VHS.
