I think he is wrong about that, partly. It's more than a hatred for the rich. It's about hatred for in-group preference, hatred for human nature, hatred for reason, reality and existence itself. They continually want to impose their fantasy into reality, like magic (which is fantasy about imposing fantasy into reality) or just plain indoctrination and propaganda.
They want to exert their own brokenness (which they are kind of aware of) into the world. They want the world to suffer as they do. Engulfing the world into chaos would make the chaos in their own lives fade away relatively.
They don't care about working people. They themselves do not work, are dysfunctional to no avail, live off welfare or their mothers. They are unable to blame themselves for the mistakes they made in their lives, and they don't blame their parents... so what's left is the abstract "society." Therefore it's not themselves that has to change (which is difficult and a lot of work), but society (which is easy - you go parading around like an imbecile and let others do the work).
Well fren what can I say, your psychological analysis of many average rioting lefties is pretty spot on in my personal opinion, especially considering the study that came out, noting that 40 something percent of them have mental illness.
