Others note theirs are set to "silent" by default. Just checked my Samsung (by searching "emergency" in settings) and sure enough - silent.
This is not a drill - check your phone then alert others!

Thanks, pede!
I had made Signal my default text app. However, when I switched back and checked and verified everything, I still cannot help but wonder what the "emergency" set to "silent" does I referenced in OP...
It still seems fucky. If it truly defaults the EBS to "silent" that would be treasonous, and downright dangerous.
Anyone want to turn on "get ENS tests" with "emergency" notifications set to "silent" and see what happens?
