I don't have an Apple phone so I can't verify.

But what I'm thinking is, if it is true, what reason could Apple possibly have to shut down emergency alerts? Why right now, of all times?

They must be doing it in anticipation of an emergency alert that they don't want people to hear.

What are they expecting? And why don't they want us to hear it?

Wouldn’t hurt to turn off automatic updates for a while

I’ve been waiting for this alert since Saturday night...I can’t watch any more you tubers pretend to have top secret intel. I’m only interested in hearing what POTUS has to say at this point. It’s like I’m waiting by my phone for a text that’s not coming.

Well, I mean, they are two different things. It actually does change the context of your comment. But hey, go ahead and get mad because I corrected you.
