they did not like each other when they first met. this happened after that. they appear to get along quite peaceably now.

I'm not sure Flynn didn't "like" Jones.. I think he really didn't know who he was. Jones came running over backstage and sort of caught Flynn off guard. Flynn turned and with a surprised look on his face sort of smiled and walked away as Jones began giving him accolades.

This video shows him very relaxed with Jones because I'm sure off camera, someone acquainted then properly.
