Afaik, no one has tried to sue them yet for it, though, given the fact that wikipedia exists in many languages and that Italian defamation laws are even more in favor of the plaintiff you might have more luck with suing them in Italy, you only have to prove they wrote something that damaged your honor, be it true or false, and that you had material damage from that.

There was even a recent case about a man suing a journalist for calling him a murderer , despite the man having indeed murdered his wife in his youth, and now having fully spent his time in Jail he sued, because the news destroyed the new honest life he had rebuilt for himself, turns out our Supreme Court ruled in his favour, because even if true the comment was not newsworthy and did damage the plaintiff.
