People taking Vitamin D (w/K2 if you don't have any blood clotting disorders), Vitamin C, and zinc every day during the winter would probably help a lot.

Diet matters, no question. But the most impactful thing you can do is get daily significant exercise, get fresh air and sunlight. That will correct a lot of other things, like diet, alcohol intake, smoking (including pot, shitheads) and sleep.
