I stopped netflix, deactivated facebook/instagram, cancelled amazon prime, never used twitter. Right now I am backing up ALL amazon video, books that I have purchased online to external hard drive storage, and will proceed to cancel Amazon after that wrinkle is done.

Back up everything you had online and sever connections with evil companies.
