Tesla is not a mere company taking subsidies. It's also a ponzi scheme. They fund current operations by getting suckers to put down deposits for cars they have not designed or don't really intend to manufacture. (Like the $30K Model X). The only product they have that is profitable is the energy credits they sell to other car companies. On top of that, they use a multitude of accounting tricks to show profit like Enron. Sooner or later, this deck of cards will fall.

Elon is right about a lot of stuff, and he deserves credit for that. But be real.

So star link, rockets flying up and down, best performing vehicles (ignoring how electricity is produced, battery, and recyling. I know that part is shit), all don't exist? Wouldn't a ponzi typically offer borderline no product? Didn't banks refuse to fund him? Thus deposits?

I didn't mean to say all he did was take some gov handouts and boom, i admit i over simplified but i'm used to doing that for everyone to digest anything.

I don't disagree it's all horse shit in some capacity. But it's all horse shit we enabled for decades and decades of slippery slope and being placated. We as in we the people. Past, present, future.

I just find him to be a lot more grey than black or white. I feel he is independent and leans the "right" way on things.

I think we are genuinely in more agreeance than even i still think we are.

I didn't say Star Link or SpaceX are ponzi schemes.

I said Tesla is a Ponzi scheme. I don't agree that Tesla makes the 'best performing vehicles,' but even if they didn't, that doesn't translate to profitability. Fact is without the energy credit scheme, the 'clean energy' subsidies, and the suckers that keep buying into the ponzi scheme that is Tesla, Tesla wouldn't exist anymore.
