That's good too. I love the Bible. But there's something in the Republic that's very relevant right now. Actually, two things.
Socrates's debate with Thrasymachus. Thrasymachus said "Justice is what the strong decide Justice is." (Dems are doing this. The judges and courts are "the strong" and they say the evidence is bad so they won't take the case, and we should be satisfied with this, somehow. Appeal to authority -- Justice is what the strong say it is.)
Thrasymachus lost this argument to Socrates.
Shadows on the cave. Plato had an early idea of television brainwashing 2500 years ago.
Even if humans wrote it, something atheists and non-believers need to consider is why was a book written thousands of years ago able to correctly identify the main themes regarding the overarching problems in societies surrounding morality and social issues and us in relation to government and others?
If one reads the bible with an open mind, you'd discover there is more wisdom in the bible than any 4 years of university education. That is one of the inherent problems in our society today, that we're ignoring the wisdom in the bible because we think we know best with "science", except we truly don't know best. We've actually only closed our minds to the wisdom in the bible and made ourselves as a society overall worse off not better off for it.
What is scary is how long the time scales of suffering are in the Bible for God's people... Like how long were the Israelites slaves to the Egyptians before Moses? Pray, pray, and pray some more for Trump and our own will to fight.
try reading "the republic". describes what's going on as well. was apparently a Socrates conversation.

There is also parts in it that speak of people like Trump. in it they never have a good ending.

Yep...There's more wisdom in one book of the Bible...Proverbs for example... Than in any liberal education.
I like to read a chapter of Proverbs a day as it's broken into 31.
