Search engines have to pay Google to be included in the default list on Chrome. I think I'll stick with Brave, with StartPage as my search engine (although Qwant is looking interesting).
Goto Brave's website (brave.com). Download browser, install it. It will walk you through the rest as when you open it the first time.
Not sure about dissenter, but I imagine it is similar.
Brave is built on chromium, it can run chrome extensions. I have been using it for a bit and it's pretty simple to use.
well you can't download dissenter right now, download page is fubar
Have to use Chrome, FF or Edge for work as am Web Dev and we have to be able to "test" on browsers our analytics tell us people actually use on our site.
I have had Brave for almost a year and never used it. I deleted Chrome and Firefox yesterday and started using it. It was simple af to set up.
You can also get paid to use Brave with some minimal ads. Dissenter is based on Brave, but doesn't include this nice perk.
What do u pedes think about DuckDuckGo as well?

DuckDuckGo has a browser as well!
DuckDuckGo = leftist Also, they don't even own their core search engine, which is Microsoft's.
