I was raised Catholic, even confirmed. Went through a heavy period of doubt due to the Catholic teachings, probably to the point of disbelief. The Baptist church led me back because of basic teaching and nowhere near the pomp the Catholics love. It reminds me of when Jesus confronted the pharisee and told them they pray but do not know the father like he does. Do you follow Jesus or the ceremony. God's role is in this and we are fighting the good fight.
