What you just said is basically the argument between gun ownership and people who depend on police. It is called EXIF data and if you do a quick search for EXIF eraser you can just avoid that in the first place. It is your safety, YOU should be the one protecting it. Not volunteer mods on a free website.
Yeah I get that is the first level.
But it isn't much to protect users with a website workflow to strip metadata automatically out of safety for the user community.
No doubt there are a lot of not as tech savvy users on this platform.
We have a lot of at home Sunday Gun Day pics among other things.
Would be a gold mine for bad actors if location data was preserved.
