And this is the exact reason why diversity hires are evil and wrong - it gives doubt to the ones who actually make it by merit.

True. But I think that time is over; the ones still in cockpits (or "flight decks" for aircraft that include a coffee maker and shitter) are most probably competant pilots, the accident rate is very low nowadays. The diversity is now in promotions to Chiefs and Colonels (and above). I think those are the ones to be careful of. Also helps if they are dykes.
