I wonder why this is never ever brought up? What am I missing? I understand it's a huge effort to coordinate and - first of all - to convince people to take part, but wouldn't it be worth a consideration at least?

It's a communist tactic. If we mobilize in some other way, a strike will occur naturally since the workers will all be busy.

If it works I don't care if it did work for communists before ;-) I could imagine that some people would be surprised to realize the MAGA movement is that of the actual working class.

It wouldn't work. I. The midst of economic collapse, the workers lose their leverage. If we quit, the jobless will just take the jobs in our place. Not even CEOs are safe, because one in illinois that my dad knew went to the protest and lost his job

I imagined to start with a warning strike, just to scare them, but not long enough to justify losing your job.

Just posted something similar to it. I think it’s our best option at this time. Basically day of absence but will work because we actually make this economy go.

Like a warning shot, just a day, or even half a day would probably create a big fuss.

Yup, only form of protest that may work at this time. If we protest the regular way they’ll just false flag us or not cover it if it’s peaceful.

I think it is too early for a general strike. I think it should be discussed as a potential tool so people prep for paying those bills later.
