Close Your Amazon Account (SCROLL TO BOTTOM). Bet you won't do it.

My youngest son works for Amazon in the heart of the beast in DT Seattle. He told me never to give Amazon my payment information. Always get a loaded gift card. Now I know why!

I'm getting off credit card use and am starting to buy preloaded cards with cash, at least with the one I picked up there is a one time fee to purchase the card but refilling is free.

If you're American which I assume on here, privacy.com is a virtual credit card. It creates a digital card for every website you use and so a retailer never has your CC info on file, so if there is a breach the hackers get a useless card because the website will deactivate any card associated with a breach, as well as you have to approve the card for each attempted transaction so you can block it.

Amazon is a huge scam bait now for inscrupulous people. If someone accesses your Amazon account what they can do is buy shit on your card then deliver it somewhere to where they sell it for pennies on the dollar or they do a refund scam, the latter is more risky for them though.

What happened to me is that I had cancelled my PRIME account. After about six months I noticed that I was being billed for 14.00 every month on the same day to amazon. I thought it was one of the kids that reactivated the PRIME account by using the streaming account. Several months later, I made a purchase but was not eligible for PRIME delivery. I reached out to them and we noticed that I do not have a PRIME account. The only noticeable difference on the bank statement was the genuine AMAZON appeared in all caps when I make a charge. The fraudulent amazon was in all lower case. I even changed card numbers in the meantime and they managed to keep the fraudulent billing up for many months on the same day every month before I noticed. Shame on me for not following through with the kids, because I really do not want to use Amazon products or their vendors.
