21

He would have been unstoppable if he had legalized it nationally.

DonJr2024 30 points ago +39 / -9

Watch what you wish for. I'm in Toronto and there are pot shops everywhere. A couple weeks ago I was driving home and there was a friendly, dancing "marijuana" character on a main street here, like Pluto waving to kids at Disney. And there is absolutely zero effort to discourage teens from getting high. And this shit is stronger and stronger. People get stoned from a couple drags. When I was a kid it took a whole joint at least.

Not pretending to have the answer but I can tell you that more drugs is the last thing this fucked up world needs.

15
SouthernParadise 15 points ago +16 / -1

Agreed...30 years ago you could crack a whole blunt and be melllow for hours. Now you get a contact high and you wonder how you wound up in Vegas with a tiger in your hotel room 😏

10
Phishhed44 10 points ago +12 / -2

Agreed.

5
NerBolanski 5 points ago +11 / -6

Libertarians don't understand this. Legalizing drugs is a very big problem considering the high rate of suicide and overdosage of drugs in society.

4
deddit 4 points ago +5 / -1

The reasons I don’t think a state like Texas will ever legalize recreational marijuana are the same reasons I’d be okay with them doing it. Regulate it like they do liquor here. TABC and cities already control how many liquor licenses that can be issued. Could do the same for weed shop so that you don’t have them on every street corner and use the same advertising laws to prevent the other problems you mention. I’m neither for or against legalization. I simply don’t care any more. I am tired of the federal government telling me what is and isn’t okay though.

This type of stuff should be taught be the parents anyhow. But just my opinion

5
DefaultFreedom 5 points ago +15 / -10

There were not a few who asked why Trump didn't make the $2,000 stimulus plan more of a priority during his 2020 run. Now while that may have alienated some republicans, it would have probably been mostly the Lincoln Project republicans who already decided on Biden.

Long story short, there are places Trump could have outwitted his own party (Republicans) to broaden his base, but he chose not to.

5

That only works on the federal level.

2
Hanging_Chad 2 points ago +3 / -1

Would Abbott pardon Trump?

48
VinnyTheGinny 48 points ago +55 / -7

The fact that weed is still illegal on a federal level is the most annoying shit. Like why? I don’t fucking get it, if they show us the aliens before legalizing weed I’m going to be so pissed.

48
FearDaNazgulz 48 points ago +49 / -1

Our politicians probably get money from drug lords to smuggle it in

30
Fridge_pirate 30 points ago +31 / -1

They get kickbacks from private owned prison complexes. Put that on top of revenue from fines for misdemeanor offenses and the fact that many of them are too stubborn and/or proud to reverse their stance and eat a healthy serving of crow and you've got yourself one gross-ass sundae.

NoCoupForYou 4 points ago +4 / -0

There was a PA Judge who sent first-time offender teens to Private Prison that was giving him a kickback.

Some kid who stole a 60 cents of nickels and dimes, first time offender, from an unlocked car got 6 months and was killed in one, which is how they unraveled the thing. And the Judge had a lot of accomplises.

14
Bilbobaggins 14 points ago +15 / -1

TRUMP_1776 20 points ago +22 / -2

Literally the only criticism I have of Trump's first term is he didn't federally decriminalize marijuana. I understand that he probably didn't want to distance himself from his more conservative voters (not that it mattered in the end), but still.

If he had gotten a second term, I believe that he would have done it without the fear of reelection looming.

13
VinnyTheGinny 13 points ago +16 / -3

Maybe he'll do it during his second term after the civil war.

6
SenorTrumper 6 points ago +7 / -1

Yes, and Jesus will return by the 20th and be appointed Trump's new VP!

11
CuomoisaMassMurderer 11 points ago +11 / -0

There's no reason to think DJT would prioritize making pot legal.

9
Fridge_pirate 9 points ago +12 / -3

I lost a long standing ten dollar bet with my sister in law about this. I swore he'd legalize it right before this past election to push his approval to an absurd high.

Can't believe he didn't utilize this mega-boost.

But here we are. Let the Dems do the inevitable and take all the credit for it, why not. Fuck.

4
UpsideDownClown 4 points ago +8 / -4

He pandered too much to the traditional conservatives instead of focusing on the independents and libertarians. The highly religious conservatives would have voted straight republican anyway, certainly not democrat. He fucked up.

4
DonJr2024 4 points ago +6 / -2

Dude they block HCQ on safety grounds and censor doctors who recommend it and meanwhile happily put kids as young as 3 on antipsychotic medication and do nothing to discourage teens from using all manner of drugs, illegal or otherwise.

Legalizing weed, which is probably 20 times stronger than the grass the hippies smoked might be somewhat necessary on one level, but is far from a thing someone should take credit for.

6
overtotheright 6 points ago +6 / -0

The man is a religious teetotaller. How in everloving fuck did you ever imagine that Trump would advocate for degeneracy like weed?

2
NerBolanski 2 points ago +2 / -0

Based.

6
NerBolanski 6 points ago +8 / -2

very soon, TP USA and moronic RNC voters will have "weed smokers for Trump".Weed is not something that we need to legalize.I agree with decriminalizing it but don't fall for those people who tell you that they got arrested for weed possession.

8
justus4lemons 8 points ago +8 / -0

The Aliens are here for the Weed.

7
FireannDireach 7 points ago +9 / -2

Because the government is run by ancient fucks who grew up in the era that it was demonized the most in. If the average age of Congress dropped 20 years, it probably would be legal at the Federal level, right now.

I don't smoke pot, quit years ago, because it's just not my thing, but I voted to legalize it, because it's ridiculous anyone is sitting in a jail cell for it, unless they're a cartel member who crossed the border illegally to bring in 2000 pounds of it.

That, and legalizing it had the exact effect I wanted - everyone shut the fuck up about it.

One last act Trump should do is to pardon every person Kamala put in jail for pot. But he can't, because he can't pardon state crimes.

3
NerBolanski 3 points ago +7 / -4

Nobody goes to Jail just for possessing pot. Larry Elder talked about this; It is just another method the DNC Voters use to make us legitimize degeneracy. I agree with decriminalizing it but why should we continue to move to the left?

5
RabidZoo 5 points ago +6 / -1

How is weed a right or left issue? As a matter of fact...in the Bible it says God put all seed bearing plants on the earth for mans use. So why can't we use it? But we can get shit-hammered drunk and forget everything that happened for hours?

5
Dman82 5 points ago +5 / -0

That is not true I was arrested in tn when I was 33 years old for 3 grams of marijuana and a pack of papers the only reason I got out of it was it was a illegal search but I still had to bond out and hire a lawyer and I had no previous convictions I asked the cop if he really had to take me to jail for 3 grams and he said he didn't have too but it was officer's discretion and he was going too he was a dick head he came to a house I was renting asked for a Mexican guy that used to live there I told him he didn't live there any more he asked if he could come in and look I said no he said he had a Warren with that address so I couldn't stop him he went to my master bedroom walked through went looked under the sink then went to the closet dug around and looked under some towels and found my weed and papers he arrested me then and the dick didn't even look through the rest of the house for the guy he was supposedly looking for and also i am white and the fuckers ignored my privilege

4
FireannDireach 4 points ago +8 / -4

That is so incredibly ignorant a statement I'm flabbergasted it was posted here.

3
80960KA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Prohibition is progressive, it's an excuse for more intrusive government.

3
PelosisCellMate 3 points ago +4 / -1

They founded the US spaceforce and oh lookie here at the TR-3B https://patents.google.com/patent/US20060145019A1/en

Idk, if you have any doubt you haven't been paying attention but yeah they'll never "admit" it unless there's no way to avoid it.

4
overtotheright 4 points ago +5 / -1

There’s nothing to admit. Aliens are demons. The same demons as described in the Bible working with the same people that Jesus called the Synagogue of Satan.

The only reason they’d “admit” they exist is to pretend that they’re extraterrestrial aliens to fool the general public into accepting a one-world government. Apparently their plans include using the aliens as an excuse to usher in a new religion that’ll eradicate Jesus and His message by having the Aliens act as a mouthpiece to push propaganda about how they really know what’s up from a religious perspective. Hard to believe that’ll ever happen since they’ve already achieved one-world government by infiltrating and controlling almost every single government in the world.

Look up Werner Von Braun’s secretary on bitchute. She states that he warned her about their plans: first they’d use communism as an enemy to unite people behind their political policies which would ultimately end up in an authoritarian police state; then of that didn’t work, theyd use climate change fearmongering to convince people to accept their political policies, and if that still didn’t work they’d use terrorism to unite people behind their policies; and finally, if none of that worked, they’d use Aliens.

3
80960KA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Why not just start with ayy lmaos it's more plausible than "climate crisis".

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

This checks out with reality. Aliens are fake. There will be an alien hoax. Project blue beam. One detail you left out:

their alien hoax will appeal to the religious of every stripe. They can project a different message onto the sky in different global regions. The big 3 Abrahamic religions are easy to adapt. Buddhism and Hinduism won't be too hard. Shinto and all the various flavors in China may not be so easy

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

What are you saying? This proves physical life forms from extra-terrestrial sources have visited us?

Some Guy who makes wood pressed paper back in the 30's - Puts out massive fear propaganda (Reefer Madness) to scare people in to banning hemp and cannabis so his business doesn't have to compete with hemp made paper.

American Federal Law nearly 100 years later - "It's as dangerous as heroin, and has next to NO medical value!"

1
overtotheright 1 point ago +3 / -2

Shut up man. That’s nonsense. Weed smokers destroy their brain, and absolutely wreck their ambition. Most end up squandering their youth.

2
GopnikGod 2 points ago +3 / -1

Well, I'll be real, I grew up in CA and can tell you this - the people who use pot 90% of the time aren't that bright from the get go. Why do you think they wanna use it lol

2
mugwump 2 points ago +3 / -1

I literally have a masters degree in engineering (3.87 GPA) and smoke daily (going back to high school). You are an ignorant buffoon.

4
fusreedah 4 points ago +4 / -0

I wouldn't be too hard on America, pretty much the whole world does this. Penalties are lighter in the US than most places. If I got caught with it here in Korea I'd die in prison.

NerBolanski -3 points ago +4 / -7

NerBolanski 1 point ago +2 / -1

I prefer weed legalization to be a state issue over a Federal Issue. Lot of drug arrests are because many people have prior arrests of different crimes; People don't just get arrested for possession.

15
Barron2040 15 points ago +15 / -0

Simple Possession isn’t a felony anywhere. Even in the most strict States it’s just a misdemeanor.

8
Fridge_pirate 8 points ago +10 / -2

Yeah so let's just keep it just right on the edge for a little longer and let the other team get the W for pushing past the last yard. Fantastic.

Missed opportunities.

6
Barron2040 6 points ago +8 / -2

I think it should be legal nationwide. It’s a plant. A fucking plant, literally made by God. How am I not allowed to plant a seed in dirt and grow a plant?

1
aceshigh34 1 point ago +5 / -4

because it kills brain cells and there are already too many dumb fucks like you running around already

3
NerBolanski 3 points ago +7 / -4

Why don't many people see the problem with legalizing weed?

4
Barron2040 4 points ago +6 / -2

What is the problem? I don’t see it. Enlighten me.

1
NerBolanski 1 point ago +3 / -2

Reduced concentration It introduces other forms of degenerate behavior most times. Elites and MSM promote it; so I find it suspicious.

2
summerbreeze 2 points ago +2 / -0

Its a type of psychological blindness. People see the corruption all around and can see the indoctrination and recruitment and brainwashing and yet are so totally blind about weed. Its weird. I don't know what the answer is. Maybe more people need to read Brave New World and really reflect on the message of the book.

It depends on how much is in your possession!

2
Barron2040 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hence the word “simple” possession. Meaning you just get caught with a joint or a small bag for personally use. Intent to distribute is a different charge.

2
CuomoisaMassMurderer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Depends how much you have. Less than 28 grams (1 ounce) gets you busted for dealing
