Watch what you wish for. I'm in Toronto and there are pot shops everywhere. A couple weeks ago I was driving home and there was a friendly, dancing "marijuana" character on a main street here, like Pluto waving to kids at Disney. And there is absolutely zero effort to discourage teens from getting high. And this shit is stronger and stronger. People get stoned from a couple drags. When I was a kid it took a whole joint at least.
Not pretending to have the answer but I can tell you that more drugs is the last thing this fucked up world needs.
The reasons I don’t think a state like Texas will ever legalize recreational marijuana are the same reasons I’d be okay with them doing it. Regulate it like they do liquor here. TABC and cities already control how many liquor licenses that can be issued. Could do the same for weed shop so that you don’t have them on every street corner and use the same advertising laws to prevent the other problems you mention. I’m neither for or against legalization. I simply don’t care any more. I am tired of the federal government telling me what is and isn’t okay though.
He would have been unstoppable if he had legalized it nationally.
