My wife lost a friend who was a neighbor who was very liberal. They did not talk politics, just family stuff, books, health etc. My wife does not like to discuss politics or religion. Her friend cut her off, I offered the explanation that liberals could not stand to be around somebody who does not share their paradigm of belief. Maybe one day we will understand and forgive one another. Build bridges and walk over them to care about the other side.
