We all have used that statement one time or another. However it is not true at all now. Rules, laws and taxes dictate our lives. Don’t follow them you will be ostracized, fired, shunned, bankrupted and jailed. Folks this is not a good situation.

Since before I can remember I've been adding "for now" at the end, guess i can retire the phrase altogether.
I remember hearing that in school. 80's/90's.

Yep. We are not free. The only freedom that has been relatively unscathed is freedom of religion.
But you need a license or pay a tax to do just about anything anymore
