Thank you for posting this. It is the right take. The last four years have been a wild ride, and President Trump has served his country with distinction by shifting focus to America after eight years of Commie Obama.
Speaking of wild, why did he call us to DC? Later to be told we're criminals? I drove back home shell-shocked. Millions of military men died for their CIC, more importantly abandoning their loved ones. I don't care if they threatened Ivanka's ability to buy nice clothes, fuck him. We would have died for him, he should have done the same for us. Metaphorically and literally. They will go after him anyway, the left only lies. If they don't, it will be obvious a deal was struck.
He's a dealmaker. It's very likely he struck a deal to save his family. Possible he struck a deal to protect America. We don't know the content of it but something like "hey ill concede and stop fighting the election fraud stuff in exchange for xyz"
Possibly. Or the fact that career employees and agents of the federal government are 99% Democrats, so he never had any chance of taking executive action to correct the fraud.
I hear you, man. I also am really discouraged over how that panned out. I spent the days leading up to, and the day of the 6th making posts pleading with people not to bring guns to DC or try to force their way into the Capitol. Lots of people replied "Nah, read between the lines, that's what Trump secretly wants." I know these people were good people and were sincere, which makes the whole situation really stink.
I wish a couple things happened:
I wish the mods had either reached out to Trump's team and confirmed "peaceful march" or just thought it all through more clearly, so they could enforce that on our site and shut down the "fire eaters" for their own good. I know ours isn't the only group of Trump supporters on the internet, but it's got to be the biggest. I blame the mods a little bit for lacking foresight to do this. Hindsight is 20-20, and probably it's not always obvious to them what to moderate and what to leave as free discussion.
I wish Trump had made it even more clear than he did that he wanted us to be 100% compliant with law enforcement and have a peaceful rally for redress of grievances. To be fair, Trump never said anything wrong. Actually I think he never dreamed that his supporters would channel their well justified anger over the stolen election into civil disobedience and trespass into the Capitol. Also Antifa... gah, what a mess.
I think Trump (like the rest of us) was shocked over the martyrdom of Ashli Babbitt and others who died in the protest, as well as angered by the Democrats gleefully changing the national conversation to "Trump supporters are terrorists" which is not only a filthy, slanderous lie, but an obscene double standard after their BLM/Antifa love affair.
You're right. There was a lot of stuff here before the rally that people should have clearly said would lead to trouble. There were tons of helicopter jokes that frankly got tiresome, but again, there should have been a clear call that this was a peaceful rally, as always, and to not cause trouble. To be fair, I don't think President Trump or even most of us here thought it would be necessary. His rallies are always peaceful unless Antifa attack people, and always leave things clean and neat. That handful of people who broke windows and caused trouble has given those lying weasels everything they needed to smear Trump and all his supporters.
