She had no idea there was someone training a pistol on her. She was focused on maneuvering over splintered glass. Likely with the intention of getting to the other side and removing the barricade. I will still fight to see charges against the officer that shot her. Completely unjustified use of lethal force.
I don't believe she would knowingly charge a gun. The shooter was also off to the side in an alcove. But I agree that she should have expected deadly force might be on the other side. She was prior military and it's common knowledge that you don't fuck around in high security areas like submarine bases.
It still reeks of being a setup though. Antifa was obviously all over and judging from the way the congress member leisurely strolled out of the Chamber moments before she was shot, none of them believed they were in actual danger. Bad shoot, fucked up people in power calling the shots.
