I completely agree, and it plain sucks. A vast majority of conservative scientists in the US work for companies that are backed by the DoD or DoE, like Honeywell or Los Alamos. Until recently I'd always regretted not pursuing opportunities like those more than I did.

On the other hand I'm glad my work isn't affected by the political climate. but god damn it are liberal scientists and their useless opinions fucking annoying
