Throughout history there have been countless communities that have faced insurmountable odds that went on to persevere. No matter what happens there is always a path forward. Never forget this.
I think many have just come to the realization that Trump isn't even holding the line anymore or he would have thrown us a bone. He seemed down and out at his border wall speech and there was nothing to give anybody any kind of hope.
What do you expect him to say? "I'm not leaving office?" He'd be slapped with the 25th immediately, at best.
I don't know, maybe something about having hope, keeping the faith, keep your eyes open. "Just watch what happens". Something that would give an indication that something was happening. But to carry on like it's just another day of ordinary business touting his previous successes seems to me he's pretty much exhausted all his avenues to win.
It would be cruel for him to say "Just watch what happens", if there wasn't anything actually happening. He is trying to let us down gently, because he loves us.
