Mitch wants Trump purged, they will convict so he can’t run in 2024. The GOP moderates & Mitch loyalists will convict. The GOP senators who want to run in 2024 will vote no or not be present. I bet they do it this weekend

Yep, and then a bunch of them will choose to "retire" over the next few years, rather than face defeat for re-election.

Be careful who replaces them, a lot of people talked good in 2010 as "Tea Party" Republicans, they were just more RINOs.

Best joke.

I think the new deal is: the Rs get 45% of seats and get to keep them as long as they do as they're told. That will be the deal for a few more years, then they'll get told to fuck off and we'll be a one-party state in all ways, not just actuality.

Or it’ll be more like “since we’re a big uniparty anyways, we’ll continue presenting people with the illusion of choice” and they’ll keep doing slim majorities that fluctuate parties

Did you know the Senate is on recess till January 19th? You probably didn't know that. So how do you think the senate will vote to convict Trump if they are not in session till the 19th??????

Really, I am interested in your response.
