I know i will get blowback from football / patriots fans, but im baffled as to why Bill Billecheck was offered one, especially during the final days of Trump's first term.
Call me crazy but shouldnt the medal be given to people that actually do things that help people out, such as brain and heart surgeons?
What does holding a clip board and telling players how to move around a football field, warrant receiving such a high accolade?
The same goes for Tiger Woods. I respect what both of them have done in the sporting arena, but arent there sports awards that pay tribute to the accomplishments of athletes, coaches etc?

Last election he sent a letter backing Trump during the final days of the campaign. I think Trump even read that letter out. So perhaps he was just doing this to thank him, but since Jan 6th happened, he decided to not accept else he would face internal revolt in the team etc.
