They pointed out that the gross overreaction to the capitol protests were because they expected patriot recourse, read: violence.

Since they didn't get it, their actions are unwarranted, and now they're trying to force a patriot act of violence to justify an all out attack on 2A, which they had pre-planned.

It feels like more is coming because more was meant to come, but they don't yet have the catalyst.
