I think people are kind of doing a defensive detachment thing (I think thats the term) and I think it's a bummer Trump didn't level with the public more. If he had said "hey I'm just one guy I cant take on the whole planet" people would be less bummed. Plus the whole come to DC for ??? Idk what to make of 1/6 as far as what Trump excepted to happen.
Trump calling everyone to DC for an event that was really hyped only for it to turn out to be just another rally let a lot of people down. The fact that we've been labeled domestic terrorists for attending such that TSA agents are swearing we'll never fly again is similarly distressing
His appearing to have been beaten down and pleading for a Biden administration to not reverse his policies was a major blackpill for a lot of people, myself included. This impromptu interview with McInerney helped my spirits, but it's really easy to doom right now.

He’s ok, but he’s no Washington. Washington gave 8 years as president after spending over a decade leading an actual war against a corrupt govt that didn’t represent the people.
So far Trump shows no signs of being willing to wage war to save the republic.
Hopefully he’ll at least declassify and get released enough dirty laundry to the public to shake things up. That would put him at #3 maybe. #2. Not good at picking subordinates.

His team impeded him at every turn, but unfortunately he had little choice. The Senate had to confirm his cabinet and only let him pick swamp rats.
He did well at confirming what was suspected. They’re all crooks and the ones with an R want to be in minority to have an excuse for crookedness.
