Yes the memo is real enough, I received it via my official DoD email. I cannot vouch for the authority of the JCS, but the memo is real and not faked as so many folks are trying to say right now. If it is faked, then that would imply someone has control of the gov't email system as the email was sent internally and not from an external source. That would be a whole other story though.
