So in a search window I asked...."do military chiefs of staffs control the military"

Results...

Congress abolished this authority in a 1953 amendment to the National Security Act. Today, the Joint Chiefs of Staff have no executive authority to command combatant forces.

Well...I seen it on USNI...a Navy blog site.....looks like the letter is legit. But I feel like it's harmless if Trump truly wanted to go GI JOE on these aholes. Those 8 guys may be helping the misdirection or being anti-Trumpers. Either way I think Trump as Commander in Chief....can bring the pain regardless.

I cannot vouch for their authority to do anything, but I can vouch for the memo being really sent out to DoD employees via official gov't email address.
