Has anyone seen the Joint Chiefs letter sourced on a government server like .mil or .gov?
I've seen the letter referenced on NPR, CBS, NBC, Military.com and some other sites, but it's always an image or a pdf hosted either locally on that site or on some cloud service like Google Drive. No one links to the original doc from the source, which I find suspicious.
I checked the Joint Chief's site and there's nothing that I can find.
Or are there any service members out there who have received the letter through official channels and can verify?
I suspect this is fake news, like the NG letter they faked with Bush or the State Dept hack and the news media just lapped it up.
And why isn't the letter dated? Don't the Joint Chiefs have a competent secretary to proofread this stuff?

Joint chiefs do not have operational authority.
I read that and I'm curious how that works. For example, isn't the Chief of Naval Operations on the Joint Chiefs? Isn't he in charge of Naval Operations?
How does Trump do anything with the Navy without going through him?
Or does POTUS just tell him to sit down and shut up and bypass him?
Fake News: United States Joint Forces Command THE JOINT FORCE: Defense Secretary Robert Gates recommended that USJFCOM be disestablished and its essential functions reassigned to other unified combatant commands. Formal disestablishment occurred on 4 August 2011.
I haven't logged in to see if its real, I may not be able to see even if it was. As for formatting this isn't a memorandum for record. It doesn't need to be dated. The format is correct for some memos, you can't compare it to a memo for record. Check out DoDM 5110.04
My person though is that it appears real, but it was likely ment as a LIMDIS document (meaning limited distribution) and it got leaked.

Thanks.
Sad to see the lack of spines at the top but I guess it's not entirely unexpected.
Especially disappointed in Raymond.
